Working in various fields including collage and airbrush, and using a wide range of materials such as found paper, paint, pencils and even puppets, Rob Thoms work can best be described as whimsical and intuitive. Rather than sticking to one continuous theme or series of images, Rob prefers to create work with subject matter that he is currently obsessed with, even if it lasts only a moment. Recently, Rob has shown his work at Peres Projects (Berlin), The Hospital (London) and Black Dragon Society (Los Angeles). Hes also been featured in the Artist Project pages for issue D of Beautiful/Decay and was one of four artists featured in Conceptual Popstraction, a published book of art by the magazine and artists, which led to a show and release party at the Cherry and Martin Gallery.
