For years Mark Dean Veca has been painstakingly painting ornate and intricate patterns on canvases as well as walls across the US. Using a mix of references that run the gamut from 60’s psychedelic art to 90’s graffiti, Veca has managed to create an alternate world where his signature technique takes 2-D graphics and breathes new life into them.
Primarily known as a painter, Veca doesn’t hold himself to only paint and brush. For over a decade he has collaborated with some of the best brands in the world creating iconic apparel and product illustrations for the likes of Nike, Lucasfilms and Burton; so it should come as no surprise that he recently teamed up with curated online marketplace RARE to create a new signature line of apparel featuring the imagery that he has become known for.
Veca’s first collection of apparel with RARE includes bold color ways and patterns covering every square inch of the garments. You can get patriotic with the Godsmith , Flag II, and Merica II tees. If bending your mind is your thing you can toss on Veca’s The Duke shirt which takes inspiration from Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. Last but not least lets not forget everyones favorite theme, Money! Ladies can look fresh in the Red Leg$ leggings while the guys can spread the wealth with the Monopoly inspired Penny Bag backpack that has room for all your cash as well as your laptop!

Beautiful/Decay has been a friend and supporter of artist and illustrator Zach Johnsen for many years. We’ve seen Zach go from humble beginnings to launching his first clothing line Tank Theory, to taking over the art world with his inventive smoke flare paintings. Johnsen’s art career is always in a state of progression so it’s no surprise to see his inventive style making a comeback in apparel with his latest collaboration with curated online marketplace RARE. Launching this week, Johnsen is releasing his Zenvironments brand which will be home to book bags, apparel, and accessories covered with his signature colorful artworks. When asked to speak on his work Johnsen states:
” Sketching is a big part of my day, both for fun and when starting a new project. I am constantly making lines and splashing watercolor. I wanted my initial Zenvironments capsule collection on RARE to showcase the fun and spontaneity of the creative process and make that process the focus of the garments. “
Expect to see many of Johnsen’s trademark techniques like his watercolor soaked “ Splash tee or the head exploding Absolute Citrus tee. For the ladies Johnson has created the Splash leggings and the Sketch leggings which transforms pages out of Johnson’s sketchbook into premium cut and sew leggings!

Recently Farr collaborated with curated online marketplace RARE to create a capsule collection called “Farr Out”. The collection includes eye popping Neon Diamond Dance Pants, perfect for tearing up the dance floor at your next party. How do you get what money can’t buy? The good folks at Johnny Walker Blue Label and Jude Law show us how. This epic tale starts deep at sea on an Italian boat built in 1928. Jude Law and Giancarlo Gianni are cruising through what seems to be a perfect paradise complete with tropical islands, lot of sun, and a cool breeze. As a man that has everything, Jude confesses that he must have the luxurious and rare boat. When Giancarlo alerts Jude that no amount of money can purchase the boat Jude comes up with a challenge. Since the boat is priceless and no amount of wealth can obtain it, he challenges Giancarlo to a gentlemen’s wager, a dance off of sorts set in a memorable restored nightclub complete with a live jazz band and backup singers. With a delicious Johnny Walker Blue Label Whisky in hand and a few taps of their feet, the two men battle it out on the dance floor as only two stylish gentlemen could. Watch the video until the end and see how this epic tale between two sea loving gentlemen ends.
